The ReVECA Registry is an initiative of the Regional Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía) within the Health Research and Innovation Strategy 2014/2018 and is the first registry in Spain for volunteers who want to participate in clinical trials on new drugs or innovative health products.
This new tool of the Regional Ministry of Health allows the voluntary registration of people interested in participating in clinical trials and access to their data by the professionals of the Andalusian Public Health System who conduct clinical studies, this way facilitating the contact between the two. The ReVECA database includes information provided by people interested in participating in clinical trials, accompanied always with their informed consent and an application submitted for their registration via any of the available registries of the Regional Government, the services offering attention to citizens (Atención a la Ciudadanía), or via its website. The data provided will be under the responsibility and custody of the Regional Ministry of Health that will take the necessary means to ensure their confidentiality, security, and integrity according to the laws and regulations in force.
