IMIBIC leads the PhD Program in Biomedical Research of the University of Córdoba (UCO). It is coordinated by Prof. Dr. Manuel David Gahete Ortiz. This program offers advanced training aimed at training highly qualified professionals who are capable of promoting teaching and research, and at helping students to gain professional qualifications in the field of Biomedical Sciences and, therefore, in the areas of research of IMIBIC.
The PhD Program in Biomedicine of the UCO offers interdepartamental and interfaculty training and career development targeted to graduates in Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Veterinary sciences, Nursing, and any other field related with Experimental and Health Sciences. The main objectives of the PhD Program are to:
1. Train experts in the basic principles (cellular, molecular and physiopathological) of disease and in the development of new diagnostic tools and therapies.
2. Train experts in the use of the aforementioned tools and techniques and related knowledge, and facilitate ther incorporation into a wide range of laboratories, universities, hospitals, biomedical and biotechnological research centers, and industry.
