The candidate will receive training related to the position.

1. University degree in Biochemistry or similar.

2. Master in Biological Analyses and Lab Diagnostics

1. Accredited training in

a. Occupational health and safety for technical staff.

b. Basic biostatistics applied to biomedical research.

c. Preparation of scientific publications: abstracts, posters, research papers.

2. Communication to congresses

3. Publications in indexed journals

4. Participation in research projects related to the thematic areas of systemic autoimmune diseases, specifically Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

5. Accredited research experience in different national or international research centres

6. Accredited level of English minimum B1

• Isolation and culture of cells from peripheral blood.
• Nucleic acid purification techniques.
• RT-PCR amplification techniques of RNA.
• Studies of protein expression and activity (Western blot, specific arrays of intracellular activity, enzymatic studies).
• Use of Fluorescence microscope, Transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.
• Flow cytometry analysis.
• Co-culture experiments.
• Bio-statistical analysis.
• Support clinical researchers for patient recruitment in different 3TR studies.
• Coordination of sample logistics: liaising with Biobank, management, shipping, stock control.
• Participation in 3TR project technical meetings.
• Support in the scientific and administrative management of the 3TR project: follow-up tasks, leading internal meetings, preparing minutes, oversee time recording, among others.
• Control stock of lab supplies and purchasing.
