PhD Program

IMIBIC leads a unique PhD Program in Biomedical Research which also includes the PhD programs in Nutrition and in Health Research Methodology.

This new PhD program in Biomedicine, coordinated by Prof. Francisco Gracia Navarro, PhD, offers advanced training aimed at improving the qualifications of the human resources that run the teaching and research, and to provide professional qualification in the field of biomedical science.

The PhD in Biomedicine Program at the University of Cordoba provides top quality, inter-department and inter-faculty training with a professional and research focus, and is specially suitable for graduates in Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Veterinary Science, Nursing and other disciplines in the field of Experimental Sciences and Health.

The main objectives are:

  1. To train expert professionals, at PhD level, in the main principles (cellular, molecular and physiopathological) of diseases and the search of new diagnostic and therapeutic tools.
  2. To qualify them in the use of these techniques in different areas and fields of related knowledge, so that they can be used in research and development activities in university, laboratories, hospitals, biomedical research centres and biotechnology companies.
